Hats Off To Friesens And Wiley For Making Other Books Look Bad
So now I know why barcode scanners won’t work on the iPhone. I took this picture to share with you.You can barely read it. The camera won’t focus close up.
In any case let me tell you what it says. It is an environmental benefits statement from the inside of a hardcover indicating the amount of trees, water, energy, solid waste, and greenhouses gases John Wiley & Sons Canada saved by printing a book on 100% post-consumer waste chlorine-free paper.
They saved 49 fully grown trees, which is remarkable since The Gender Intelligent Retailer by Thomas Yaccato (the book I saw this in) probably had a modest print run.
As far as I know this stamp isn’t a standard, but has been initated by Friesens Printing Company.
Applause.
