Hitman aka Lionsgate Should Hire an SEO Specialist

Hitman Icon
Vin Diesel is still the man — in Bulgaria. I saw Hitman. I have no shame when it comes to bad movies. Diesel was to star. He executive produced instead. Principle photography was in Bulgaria (a step down from xXx’s Prague location). His money wasn’t enough to hire a decent director. The rumours were true. They reshot some of the action sequences. The alternative versions were extras on the DVD. What is not on the DVD are the “origins webisodes” from the website. Not enough money to shoot an opening credit sequence (they borrowed footage from Dark Angel) but plenty money to pay for an anime origin story. Wha? Inclusion on the DVD is neither here nor there. My point — great marketing for a bad movie versus ass marketing for a good movie.

Fox versus Lionsgate.

I was going to do a separate rant about how unfindable the official site for The Bank Job is. The guys at the Scene Unseen podcast beat me to it, so I am tacking this message onto the end of my Hitman blurb: Hey Lionsgate! Hire some marketing people that know something about SEO! You are selling your movie short.
