Jeremiah Owyang on The Future of Media in the Social Era

I cam across this presentation by Jeremiah Owyang from the Thin Air Summit in Denver. Owyang advocates for allowing content to change form, to get smaller, to be spread freely and widely, and to get social. Bite-sized content makes sense to me — as long as it was originally intended to be that size.

I think even content that wasn’t meant to be bite-sized can change form. Especially with the ability to manipulate content through different applications and technologies. Mashups are usually created by taking small bits and pieces of larger pieces of content and changing the purpose. From my opinion, the only thing that really remains as a barrier to such creativity are copyright laws and the relatively slow adoption of creative commons.
