Just Discovered: One-Story.com
Ami Greko, a recent hire at MacMillian, just put me onto One-Story Magazine. Here is what they are all about:
One Story is a literary magazine that contains, simply, one story. Approximately every three weeks, subscribers are sent One Story in the mail. This story will be an amazing read.
Pretty neat, no? It has been around since 2002. I am just hearing about it for the first time but I think it would be a perfect platform to launch a shortstory app for the iPhone.
Jason Calacanis was on TWiT this week. He mentioned how ’95-’96 and ’02-’04 were great years for innovation on the web. And no one was making money. Talented people were simply investing time into things they loved. Now that we are in another downturn, I hope some great developer comes along and builds One Story an iPhone app just because they love what they do and want to add value to the net.
