The Great Book Publishing Reboot
My friends Kat Meyer and Kassia Krozser (K2) are starting a press this October with Kirk Biglione and an unnamed partner. Quartet Press is kicking off with a romance imprint called Quench! and they are accepting submissions now.
Over the past couple of months I have been completely charmed by small operations like Muumuu House, Small Beer, and Invisible Publishing and while Quartet is a different kind of start-up I must commend them on their timing. I anticipate a vibrancy in boutique publishing the likes of which we haven’t seen since the ’60s. Big things in small sizes are on the horizon. Congratulations Kat, Kirk, and Kassia.
